Supported Environments - Novell / NetBIOS

The use of the NPL Release V Windows RunTime, when installed on Novell or NetBIOS, is currently supported on the following 32-bit operating environments:

Supported Standalone Systems

Supported NetBIOS/Peer Environments

Supported Network Operating Systems

Supported Workstation Systems with Novell*

Note: Novell itself claims it does not support Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. Novell is not providing a Novell Client for XP Home Edition, so NPL cannot support the use of XP Home with Novell.

Note: Novell itself claims it does not support Microsoft Windows ME. Novell is not providing a Novell Client for ME, so NPL cannot support the use of ME with Novell.

Special Notes

* All workstations running the NPL Release V RunTime require Novell NetWare 32-bit Client Software to operate correctly on all Novell Networks. The Microsoft supplied MS-Client for Novell NetWare does not fully support all of the required NetWare API components required by NPL. Consult your Novell Network Administrator to assure that an appropriate Novell supported 32-bit client is installed on each workstation that requires NPL.
