Which Installation Method to Choose

NPLSecure - NT Server Setup

This setup procedure is designed for networks that have a Windows NT, 2000 or 2003 Server available to perform security functions. The NPLSecure service will be installed to that server. All workstations will require access to that server in order to operate this software.

If the target network does not have an NT Server, or if all clients do not have access to that server, or if the Novell or NetBIOS Network Setup procedure may be more appropriate, or if you are not sure, please exit the setup procedure and contact your Authorized Niakwa Distributor for assistance.

Novell or NetBIOS Network Setup

This setup procedure is designed for networks that have a Novell Server available to perform security functions, or for networks that operate in a peer-to-peer fashion where one of the members is available to act as a server to perform security functions. All workstations will require access to the security server in order to operate this software.

If there is an NT Server available to act as the security server, the NPLSecure - NT Server Setup procedure may be more appropriate.

If the target network does not operate as described, or if all clients do not have access to the security server, or if you are not sure, please exit the setup procedure and contact your Authorized Niakwa Distributor for assistance.
