NPL IS 21
SHIPPING SURCHARGES ON THE RISE
SCO RETIRES OPENSERVER 5.0.6

NPL IS 21!

1984 was an interesting year. People were comparing "modern times" to George Orwell's book "1984". In October of that same year Niakwa burst onto the software scene and rocked the BASIC-2 community with it's introduction of BASIC-2C - now NPL.

Through the years, NPL has grown to fill the needs of our developers and changing computer technology. It's fun to think back on those exciting times. The fun's not over, the best is yet to come!

We send our sincerest thanks to all of our valued customers and friends for their support and dedication to Niakwa and NPL throughout the years.

SHIPPING SURCHARGES ON THE RISE

We have recently witnessed a dramatic rise in fuel prices, due to damage caused by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Due to the rise in
fuel prices, UPS has increased their fuel surcharge.

Unfortunately, that may mean increasing the base shipping charges for our runtimes. We are currently assessing the situation and will make every attempt to hold shipping costs to a minimum.

SCO RETIRES OPENSERVER 5.0.6

SCO announced, now that OpenServer 6 is available, OpenServer 5.0.6 will be discontinued at the end of this year.

We are currently in the process of testing NPL 5.0 and NPL 5.1 Beta on SCO OpenServer 6. We hope to be able to announce soon that NPL 5 is fully compatible with OpenServer 6.
